A number of structures of the existing cement plant have shown signs of distress. PCCL desired to have a detailed assessment of damage to the existing structures under distress, to rehabilitate them and to serve the need of modernisation project for plant upgradation..

Objective of Consulting Services

To carry out Civil & Structural Audits with following objectives:

  • To assess the damage of existing structures under distress and provide for remedial measures for strengthening/ repairs and rehabilitation.
  • For structures requiring upgradation for supporting higher capacity equipment, establish reserve strength in elements of existing structure to minimise modifications and down time.

Scope of Consulting Services

  • Audit Report Preparation involving following activities:
    • Physical Survey of structure and collection of data on previous designs
    • Critical Review
    • Core Tests and in-situ Investigations
    • Computer Modelling and Analysis
    • Design of structure
    • Audit Report
  • Repair & Rehabilitation Scheme
  • Assessment of nature of structural deficiencies and distress in individual structures.
  • Repair scheme for rehabilitation incorporating:
    • Sequence of operations for repair schemes
    • Drawings for various repair schemes alongwith BOQ
    • Model Tender Document for repair and rehabilitation.
